How it works

What happens when somebody calls you.

What your customer hears, when a person takes over, what it plugs into, and what it takes to get set up — in that order, because the first one is the only one that matters until you trust it.

On the call

What your customer actually hears

It answers, says what it is, asks the questions you told it to ask, checks your calendar and books them in. Then it texts them the confirmation.

  • It never claims to be you, or to be a person.
  • It asks one thing at a time, and repeats back what it heard.
  • It does not guess. If it does not know, it says so and passes it on.
  • It confirms the time and the address before it books anything.

The conversation on the right is written out as an example. No real customer is involved in it.

From your rules to a booked job

Four steps. You are involved in the first and the last, and the middle two happen without you.

Step 1 of 4
Escalation

Exactly when a person takes over

This is the part worth reading closely. You set these rules, they are written down before anything goes live, and you can change them whenever you want.

It is an emergency

Anything the caller describes as urgent stops being handled automatically. It goes to you, or whoever is on call, straight away — by phone, not by email.

They ask for something off-script

A question outside what you agreed it can answer is not guessed at. It says it will have someone come back to them, and passes it on with everything they said.

They ask for a person

If a caller asks to speak to a human, that is the end of it. There is no loop, no second attempt to handle it, and no script that tries to talk them out of it.

It is a price it should not quote

You decide what can be quoted over the phone and what cannot. Anything on the wrong side of that line is taken as an inquiry and sent to you to price.

Connected to

It works with what you already use

Nothing new for you to log into, and nothing for your customer to install.

Your calendar

Bookings appear in the same calendar the rest of your jobs are in.

Your customer records

The caller, what they wanted, and what was agreed, written into wherever you keep customers.

Your phone number

You keep your number. Calls forward to us only in the situations you choose.

Your inbox

A summary of every call and message, so nothing depends on you logging in somewhere new.

Tell us what you run on the call and we’ll tell you plainly whether it connects — including when the answer is no. Where something will not connect directly, we say so before you pay, not after.

Getting set up

Five steps, about 80 minutes of your time

Three of the five need you, and they add up to about eighty minutes. The column on the right of each step is your time, not ours — and nothing goes live until you have heard it handle your own business and signed it off.

Where we draw the line
  • We do not generate leads. No advertising, no search, no social — we answer the inquiries you already get.
  • No promised booking rates or percentage increases. Those depend on your pricing, your area and your competition, which nobody controls.
  • No results from other businesses presented as a forecast of yours.
  • Nothing is said to a customer that you have not approved first.
Next step

Hear it handle a call from your own business.
